1. No Personal Data Collection

CipherSwap does not require accounts, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information. We do not use cookies or tracking scripts. Your swap details exist only during the transaction and are permanently deleted after completion or cancellation.

2. On‑Chain Privacy

Bitcoin transactions are public by nature. Monero provides strong privacy by default. We recommend using a new Bitcoin address for each swap and withdrawing Monero to a private wallet. We never share order information with third parties.

3. Tor & VPN Usage

CipherSwap is fully accessible via Tor (.onion address available upon request) and encourages the use of VPNs. Our server logs contain only timestamps and IP addresses hashed with a daily rotating salt—these are automatically purged after 7 days.

4. Data Retention

Order data (BTC amount, XMR amount, XMR address, deposit address) is stored encrypted at rest and is permanently removed 30 days after the swap reaches a terminal state. No historical records are kept beyond that window.
